"What a lovely place ... we enjoyed the walks and the absolute serenity of the surroundings" Lorraine and Bruce Ough, Rochdale

In the Valley

Walking

The advantage of being surrounded by ancient bluebell woods is that the walks start from your doorstep. With 11 acres of private woodlands to explore and some truly spectacular walks through the valley to the 30ft waterfalls of Goitstock – you'll be sure to take back some wonderful memories and some very muddy boots!

Cycling

Whether you decide to walk or cycle across the newly re-opened Hewenden Viaduct you’ll find breathtaking views of the mill, valley and beyond.

Fishing

With half a mile of private beck, punctuated by trout filled pools, all set in the most tranquil and beautiful woodlands - fishing might seem like the most idyllic way to while away an hour or two.

Communal Lounge

A cross between a recreation room and a library – this multi-functional room offers guests the opportunity to spend a little time outside their accommodation without being outside. Enjoy a game of Pool or sneak off to watch the sport (or a Soap) on one of the squashy sofas. Books, CDs, DVDs, a Playstation 2 and toys are all available to borrow for the duration of your stay.

Beauty Therapies

Spoil yourself or a loved one by indulging in one of the many holistic and beauty therapies on offer. Enjoy a soothing Swedish massage, re-energise with reflexology or simply relax with an aromatherapy facial and maximise the benefits of a holiday in Hewenden.
